Milne Bay Game Fishing Club
Milne Bay Game Fishing Club has been operating in Alotau for over six years. Their Club House is at the Cameron Club, on the beach beside the Alice Wedega Park.
Committed to safety, the MFGF Club assists the Canoe Festival each year, rescue boats patrolling the water ensuring no accidents occur. The club also operates a radio system that covers the entire province and ensures the safety of fisherman at sea. A log-in log-out system ensures that all boats are tracked and accounted for. Visitors are welcome to use this system.
MBGF Club also assists the community with evacuations and runs a weekly raffle at Napatana Lodge to raise funds for community work including Christmas presents for the children in Alotau General Hospital as well as other charity work.
