Island Adventure Tours
Island Adventure Tours is a village-based Tour Operation Company located on the Divinai beach, on the way to East Cape. It commands spectacular panoramic views of the Killerton Islands and sunsets to die for. It is only a 40 minute drive from Alotau town.
Accommodation has a two bed roomed unit with a sea facing veranda with another four under construction. Camping tents are also available and campers are welcome here. Meals are available at the Sea View Restaurant, offering traditional cuisine for a set menu or a BBQ by the sea. Tea and coffee is always available and Jimbo’s Bar, facing the sea, is just two meters away from the water’s edge.
Islands focuses on children, offering beach volley ball, swings, a kids’ pool and playground, tennis and cricket, Frisbees and lots of fun activities.
Glass Bottom Boat Trips offer a unique experience. Cruise on Papua New Guinea’s only glass bottomed boat to the nearby Killerton Islands. Enjoy the reef sightseeing experience, snorkel over the reef, relax on the white sandy beach or discover the evidence of the missionaries who lived there and left during the war.
From here to East Cape is a short ride along the picturesque coastal road that meanders through traditional Tawala villages. Bushwalks are plentiful as are waterfalls, rich flora and fauna of the rainforest. Check out the legend of the Magic Stone at nearby Bou village.
