Masurina Lodge
Masurina Lodge is located in Alotau, the provincial capital of Milne Bay. It was originally set up as a guest house in the early 1970's by Chris Abel, and although it now offers a range of accommodation types and facilities, it still retains the charm and friendliness of a Guest House.
Masurina Lodge is only a stones throw away from clear crystal reefs, pristine waterfalls and rainforests and WWII memorial sites.
Day trips with a local guide can be arranged to get the most out of your stay here with us and boat hire is available upon request.
We are a small family owned company with all of Chris's sons performing integral roles within the company. We pride ourselves on the friendliness of the staff and the warm welcome you will receive once you arrive in Alotau.
Accommodation
Masurina Lodge offers a range of accommodation types from Standard and Executive Rooms to fully Self Contained Apartments, all of which have tea and coffee making facilities, fans and air-conditioning. It offers airport transfers, taxi service around the town area and a complimentary laundry service.
Dining
Masurina Lodge has an air-conditioned dining room. The food is served buffet style and includes a mixture of both western and native cuisine with an emphasis of fresh locally caught seafood, including prawns, fish and mud crabs, and locally grown organic fresh fruit and vegetables.
The Bar has a coffee shop that offers a variety of freshly baked cakes and scones, cappuccinos, fresh organic fruit slushies and creamy thickshakes. BBQs are also available.
Other Facilities
Masurina Lodge has an air-conditioned Conference Room with all facilities. Other facilities include a children's playground, 30m swimming pool, pool table and darts board.
Activities
The lodge has a Local Tour Guide who is available to take you wherever you may wish to go. Its Boat the MV Orina is available to take you out on the water so that you can discover the many beautiful reefs and islands in the scenic part of the world.
