Getting there
Pick up is available from Masurina Business Centre bus stop in Alotou daily at 10.00am and 4.00pm. From here it is a short trip along the coast to East Cape Village and marketplace, the most eastern tip of Papua New Guinea. From East Cape, it is a short 45 minute ride by boat to Sewa Bay.
Accommodation
Saidowai Guest House provides double and single rooms to suit your travel needs as well as a rest house located near the Goldie's Bird of Paradise viewing area.
All meals are provided by staff at the guest house if needed. The meals consist of a range of traditional Melanesian dishes, prepared from fresh produce grown in local gardens and purchased from local markets.
All of the guest houses are made from local materials beautifully crafted in the traditional style with Sago Palm roofing and thatched palm walls. Built amongst village life, this setting ensures you will have a comfortable and memorable experience.
Things to Do
Lots actually! You can experience diving/snorkelling, game fishing, canoe expeditions, guided walks/treks, pelagic birding tours and visit heritage sites.
